Accreditation and CME

The ESCRS Winter Meeting 2024 has been granted 19.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®).

“The ESCRS Winter Meeting 2024FrankfurtGermany, 15/02/2024-18/02/2024 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 19.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credits to AMA credits can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications.

Live educational activities occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC® credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.”

Information regarding the conversion of EACCME® credits:“Credit will be converted based on one (1) hour of participation equalling one credit for all activities. Physicians wishing to convert EACCME® credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ will be required to access the AMA website at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications to obtain the necessary paperwork and instructions.

Physicians and other health care professionals will be required to pay a processing fee to the AMA. For other countries, please contact the relevant national/regional accreditation authority.”

EACCME® credits:“Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event once he/she has completed the feedback form. Cf. criteria 22 of UEMS 2023.07. 

The credits are divided as follows:

16/02/2024: 8.0 credits

17/02/2024: 8.0 credits

18/02/2024: 3.5 credits

The EACCME® awards ECMEC®s on the basis of 0,5 ECMEC® for 30 minutes of CME with a maximum of 8 ECMEC®s per day. cf. Chapter XIII of UEMS 2023.07.”

Details about your attendance certificate, post Winter Meeting survey, and CME certificate.

All attending participants who have retrieved their Winter Meeting badge will automatically receive an attendance certificate by e-mail after the Winter Meeting.

A post Winter Meeting survey will be sent to all attending participants who have retrieved their badge. Upon completion of the survey and after its submission deadline, a CME certificate will be sent to participants who have completed the survey.
